How to make Sunburst Smoothie Recipe - enjoy this scrumptious green smoothie perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up. Surprisingly sweet sunflower sprouts add to the abundant sugar content of pear and banana. Both integrate seamlessly with the nutty flavor of chlorella and sunflower seeds. In addition, sunflower seeds and their sprouts are rich in zinc, which supports skin clarity and elasticity. An added bonus of including sunflower sprouts is that they are 25 percent protein! With their protein punch and that of chlorella, this smoothie is so macronutrient-dense you may consider enjoying it as a meal replacement.

Yield: approximately one 20-ounce (570 ml) smoothie

Ingredients:
1/2 cucumber, chopped
1 large anjou pear, cored
1/4 medium banana
2 celery stalks, chopped
1 handful spinach
1 tablespoon (9 g) sunflower seeds
1 small handful sunflower sprouts
1 1/2 teaspoons chlorella powder
1 cup (235 ml) water

Method:
In a blender, combine all the ingredients.

Blend on high for 20 seconds or until smooth. Enjoy immediately and sip slowly.
