Ingredients:
4 fresh watermelon cubes
1 1⁄2 ounces Malibu passion fruit rum
1 ounce pink grapefruit juice
Juice of 1 lime

Method:

Batidas Notes:
Batidas are the classic cocktails of Brazil, consisting of blended fruits, cachaça (Brazilian rum), and sometimes condensed milk (or “table cream”). They are delicious come up with your own version using any sort of fresh seasonal fruits.

A Note on Daiquiris:
The Daiquiri is one of those drinks that has been radically manipulated over the past few decades—not in a good way and is mostly seen coming out of a frozen drink machine made with an overly sweet cocktail mix.
A classic Daiquiri is a simple one rum, lime, and sugar. I’ve expanded on the Daiquiri using many fresh ingredients, but the base will always remain the same.

How to make Watermelon Basil margarita Recipe - The flavor of watermelon can vary from one to the next, with some being very flavorful and juicy and others being a bit blander. I like to use watermelon schnapps just to pump up the flavor a bit, but not to act as the sole watermelon flavor.

2 basil leaves

If desired, wet the outside rim of a cocktail or Margarita glass with a lime wedge. Dip into a plate of kosher salt and set aside.

Combine the tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, simple syrup, and lemon juice in a blender with 1 cup of ice. Blend until smooth. Pour into the glass. Garnish with the lime wheel.
