Racy Root Smoothie
How to make Racy Root Smoothie Recipe - I call this smoothie racy root because the base is sweet potato, not an ingredient you normally see in a smoothie but one I just love! Also, its racy reputation comes from the addition of heart-benefiting red hot chili pepper. Why did I use sweet potato? It’s deliciously sweet when juicedraw, and it is a powerful anti-inflammatory food. When mixed with immune-boosting Ruby Red grapefruit and sweet coconut water and yacon, the flavor is unique and simply exquisite!
Yield: Approximately one 20-ounce (570 ml) smoothie
Ingredients:
1/2 small red chili pepper (seeds optional)
1 medium ruby red grapefruit, peeled, with pith intact
1 medium sweet potato, scrubbed
1 cup (235 ml) coconut water
2 tablespoons (13 g) yacon syrup
Method:
Pass the chili pepper, grapefruit, and sweet potato through a juicer in the order specified.
Transfer to a blender and add the coconut water and yacon syrup.
Blend until smooth. Enjoy!
