Spicy Spirulina Juice

How to make Spicy Spirulina Juice Recipe - pectin, a soluble fiber, is contained in the skins of raw apples. When juiced, some of this digestion-enhancing nutrient is passed along, supporting regular and comfortable bathroom visits. Apples also deliver “good” bacteria. These microorganisms aid in the formation of healthy cells that line the intestine. Good news for you because a healthy gut is synonymous with a healthy body. Fresh ginger, the spice in this mouthpuckering juice, also supports gut health and reduces inflammation in the body. And, parsley does not only serve to liven up the flavor of this nourishing tonic, it is also rich in vitamin K, a nutrient essential to bone health.

Yield: approximately one 16-ounce (475 ml) juice

Ingredients:
1 large handful spinach leaves
1 small handful fresh parsley
1 piece (1/2 inch, or 1 cm) fresh ginger
3 medium semisweet apples (such as gala), halved
1/2 teaspoon spirulina crystals

Method:
Pass the spinach, parsley, ginger, and apples through a juicer in the order specified.

Transfer to a large serving glass or jar and stir in the spirulina crystals. Enjoy immediately and sip slowly.
