How to make Calm and Collected Cider Recipe - every system of our body is negatively affected by stress, which increases our susceptibility to illness. That’s why it’s time we give ourselves permission to take a breather. You won’t be able to help but want to take some time out, put your feet up, and sip this calming elixir to release tension. The active ingredient in kava, kavalactone, has soothing properties, promotes nerve and muscle relaxation, and contributes to a sense of emotional well-being. Ginger and cinnamon when mixed with fresh apple juice create a flavor reminiscent of spiced cider and further restore your sense of calm. Not only will this warm and cozy drink make you feel good, its sweet and peppery taste will also dance on your taste buds as it nestles you right into deep relaxation.

Yield: Approximately one 12-ounce (355 ml) cider

Ingredients:
1 cup (235 ml) fresh-pressed apple juice, heated
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
pinch ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon (7 g) yacon syrup
8 drops liquid kava extract
(optional for extra calm)

Method:
In your favorite mug, add all the ingredients. Stir to combine and bring on the calm.
