Vietnamese French Fries with Beef
How to make Vietnamese French Fries with Beef Recipe - This recipe makes a fantastic main course that is quick to prepare when using frozen fries.
Ingredients:
1 recipe Drive-in Fries
1 yellow onion, thinly sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
1 (16-ounce) sirloin steak, cut into thin strips
1/2 cup matchstick carrots
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1/2 cup Nuoc Cham Sauce (below)
Method:
In a wok, sauté the onion and garlic over medium-high heat in the oils until they begin to soften, about 3 minutes. Add the steak strips and stir-fry for about 5 minutes until done. Add the carrots and briefly stirfry.
Combine the cornstarch and Nuoc Cham Sauce. Pour over the steak and onions, and cook quickly to thicken, about 2 minutes. Add the french fries and stir to coat. Serve with additional Nuoc Cham Sauce to taste.
