Caramel Sauce
How to make Caramel Sauce Recipe - This is a quick and easy caramel sauce that is a great warm dipping treat to pair with Sweet Fries. As good as a dessert but with more vitamins.
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup heavy cream
Method:
In a large heavy-bottomed saucepan, stir together the sugar and water. Cook over medium-high heat, without stirring, until it begins to boil. Do not stir or disturb the syrup until it becomes a dark amber color.
Add the butter to the pan and whisk. Whisk in the heavy cream. The syrup will foam and expand. Remove from heat and continue to whisk until smooth. Pour into a glass container and let cool. Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
Warm in the microwave for 30 seconds or as needed before serving with the Sweet Fries. Makes about 1-1/2 cups
