Beef and Kidney Bean Burger
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
4 burger buns
Lettuce
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons tomato ketchup
Tomato, thinly sliced
Cucumber, thinly sliced
Cayenne, thinly sliced
1 tablespoons margarine
200 grams minced meat (chicken or beef)
100 grams boiled kidney beans
2 slices fresh bread soaked in 50 milliliters of milk
50 grams onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, mashed
1 egg
½ teaspoon pepper powder
½ teaspoon fine salt
1 tablespoon ready-made steak sauce
Method:
1. Burger: Mix minced meat with the kidney beans and puree using a food processor. Add the bread, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, eggs, and steak sauce, stirring while kneading until well blended. Divide the dough into 4 parts, each flattened into a spherical shape. Wrap with aluminum foil which has been greased with margarine. Steam for 30 minutes.
2. Heat margarine in a skillet and fry the burgers until cooked on both sides.
3. Lightly grease the bun with margarine and mayonnaise. Add the burgers, vegetables, and tomato sauce. Serve.
