Cooked Applesauce
Ingredients
8 medium or 6 large apples (a mixture of tart and sweet)
½ c. water
Dash of salt
½ c. sugar
½ tsp. cinnamon
Method:
Peel and core apples.
Put in pot with water and salt. Bring to a boil and simmer until apples are soft (about 30 minutes). Alternatively, place in microwave-safe bowl and cover. Microwave until apples are soft (10-15 minutes).
Stir in sugar and cinnamon. Serve warm or cold.
