Warm Cranberries

Ingredients:
3/4 cup Granulated sugar
3/4 cup Water
1 Orange
3 cups Cranberries
Method:
Combine the sugar and water over medium heat and bring to a boil, making sure all the sugar is dissolved.
Cut a 2-inch (5 cm) zest strip from the orange using a vegetable peeler; do not include any of the bitter, white pith.
Add the zest and cranberries to the syrup and reduce to a low simmer.
Simmer for 6 to 8 minutes or until the cranberries begin to pop, but do not overcook. The berries should be soft but still retain their shape.
Remove from the heat and leave in the syrup to cool.
