Waldorf Salad
Makes 6 to 8 servings
Ingredients:
3 large firm apples, cored, diced
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
3 celery stalks, diced
1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup dairy sour cream
Fresh lettuce leaves
Fresh watercress or parsley sprig
Method:
In a medium-sized bowl, toss apples with lemon juice. Mix in celery and walnuts. In a small bowl, blend mayonnaise and sour cream. Stir into apple mixture.
Arrange lettuce in a serving bowl, on a platter or on individual salad plates. Top with apple mixture. Garnish with a sprig of watercress or parsley.
