Meaty Chili From Wendy's
Makes 16 (9-ounce) servings
Ingredients:
2 lb beef,Ground
1 qt tomato juice
29 oz can tomato puree
15 oz can red beans,drained
1 md onion,chopped
1/2 c celery,Diced
1/4 c green bell pepper,Diced
1/4 c chili powder
2 t cumin
1 1/2 t garlic powder
1 t salt
1/2 t black pepper
1/2 t oregano
1/2 t sugar
1/8 t cayenne pepper,or more to taste
Method:
Brown beef in large skillet; drain. In 6-quart pot, combine beef, juice, puree, beans, onion, celery, bell pepper, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, pepper, oregano, sugar and cayenne; cover pot.
Simmer 1 1/2 hours, stirring every 15 minutes.
