How to make rising sun cocktail recipe
makes 2
Ingredients:
glasses 2 old-fashioned glasses
equipment cocktail shaker, strainer
ice cubes
4 measures vodka
4 teaspoons passion fruit syrup
6 measures grapefruit juice
ruby grapefruit slices, to decorate
Method:
Half-fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes and put 6–8 ice cubes into each old-fashioned glass.
Add all the remaining ingredients to the shaker and shake until a frost forms on the outside of the shaker.
Strain over the ice in the glasses, decorate each with a ruby grapefruit slice and serve.
For a Harvey Wallbanger, a ’60s cocktail inspired by the Screwdriver, float a teaspoon of Galliano, the Italian herb-flavoured liqueur, over a mixture of 1 measure of vodka and 3 measures of orange juice and plenty of ice.
