How to make planter’s punch recipe
makes 2
Ingredients:
glasses 2 highball glasses
equipment cocktail shaker, strainer
4 measures Myer’s Jamaican Planter’s Punch rum
8 drops Angostura bitters
1 measure lime juice
4 measures chilled water
2 measures sugar syrup
ice cubes
To decorate
orange slices
lime slices
Method:
Put the rum, bitters, lime juice, water and sugar syrup into a cocktail shaker and add some ice cubes.
Shake and strain into 2 ice-filled highball glasses. Decorate with slices of orange and lime and serve.
For a Tempo, a quick alternative to a planter’s punch, put 3 cracked ice cubes into each glass and pour 1 measure each of white rum and lime juice and ½ measure of crème de cacao into each one. Add a dash of
Angostura bitters, stir, top up with lemonade and decorate with slices of lime.
