How to make lush crush cocktail recipe
makes 2
Ingredients:
glasses 2 chilled Champagne flutes
equipment muddling stick, cocktail shaker, strainer
4 strawberries, plus extra to decorate
2 dashes sugar syrup
4 lime wedges
2 measures Absolut Kurant vodka
ice cubes
chilled Champagne, to top up
Method:
Muddle the strawberries, sugar syrup and lime wedges in the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Add the vodka and some ice cubes.
Shake and double-strain into 2 chilled Champagne flutes. Top up with chilled Champagne, decorate each glass with a sliced strawberry and serve.
For a Champino, which is equally sparkling but rather less fruity than the Lush Crush, shake 2 measures of Campari with 2½ measures of sweet vermouth and plenty of ice, then strain into chilled martini glasses. Top up with chilled Champagne. This cocktail has a pleasant, bittersweet aftertaste.
