Green Beans and Almonds

How to Make Green Beans and Almonds Recipe - preparation 5 minutes cooking time 5–7 minutes

Serves 4

300g/11oz fine green beans, trimmed
15g/½oz/1 tbsp butter
4 tbsp flaked almonds
juice of ½ lemon
salt and ground black pepper

1 Bring a large pan of water to the boil. Add the green beans and cook for 4–5 minutes. Drain.

2 Meanwhile, melt the butter in a large frying pan. Add the almonds and cook for 1–2 minutes until golden. Remove from the heat, add the drained beans and toss.

3 Season and add the lemon juice, then serve.
