Subway Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki Sandwich

How to make Subway Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki Sandwich Recipe - Subway's Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki Sandwich is one of the chains biggest selling subs. The sandwich is made with very common ingredients. What sets this sub apart from the others is the sweet onion sauce.

SERVES 1

Ingredients:
1 boneless, skinless chicken breast
¼ cup Lawry's teriyaki marinade
1 bakery-fresh sub roll
Sliced vegetables of your choice
Sweet Onion Sauce
½ cup light corn syrup
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon minced white onion
2 tablespoons white vinegar
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
¼ teaspoon lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon poppy seeds
Pinch of cracked black pepper
Pinch of garlic powder

Method:
Place the chicken breast and marinade in a zip-top bag. Marinate the chicken in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Combine all the sauce ingredients into a small microwave-safe bowl. Heat for 1–2 minutes, until the mixture boils.

Stir well, cover, and let cool.

Cook the chicken on a George Foreman grill or stovetop grill pan. Slice into ¼" strips.

Place the chicken on a sub roll. Add whatever vegetables you like.

Pour the sweet onion sauce over the chicken and vegetables.
