Quiznos Steakhouse Dip Submarine

How to make Quiznos Steakhouse Dip Submarine Recipe -  Quiznos has a variety of toasted deli sandwiches. This recipe features one of their signature submarines with an au jusdipping sauce.

SERVES 2

Ingredients:
Au Jus Dipping Sauce
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
1 tablespoon flour
1 (1-ounce) packet au jus mix
12/3 cups water
Sandwich Sauce
½ cup prepared Alfredo sauce
¼ cup mayonnaise
1 dash onion salt or garlic salt
Sandwich
1 loaf bakery French bread
¾ pound thin-sliced deli roast beef
½ cup shredded Swiss cheese
½ cup shredded Italian cheese blend

Method:
Preheat the oven broiler.

Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Sauté the onions until tender (about 2–3 minutes).

Add the flour and the contents of the au jus mix packet. Gradually whisk in the water and allow it to simmer while you make the sandwich.

In a small bowl, mix together the Alfredo sauce, mayonnaise, and your choice of onion salt or garlic salt.

Slice the French bread with one horizontal slice to make a top and a bottom half. Spread the sauce evenly over both pieces of the sliced bread.

Place sandwich halves open faced onto a baking sheet. Put under the oven broiler for about 1 minute, until the sauce is bubbly and the edges of the bread barely start to brown.

Remove the tray from the oven. Arrange the roast beef over both sandwich halves, then sprinkle evenly with cheeses.

Broil for another minute, until the cheese melts and starts to brown. Remove from the oven.

Put the sandwich halves together and return to the broiler very briefly to lightly toast the top of the sandwich. Remove from the oven and slice sandwich into 4 even slices.

Serve with the au jus sauce in small bowls for dipping.
