Olive Garden Apple Carmelina
SERVES 6–8
Ingredients:
Filling:
2 (20-ounce) cans drained sliced apples
½ cup sugar
½ teaspoon apple pie spice
¼ cup brown sugar
¼ cup flour
¼ teaspoon salt
Topping:
¾ cup flour
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup light brown sugar
¼ cup sugar
5 tablespoons softened butter
Method:
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Mix all the ingredients for the filling together in a bowl and stir well.
Pour the mixture into a lightly buttered 8" × 8" baking dish.
Create the topping in a separate bowl by adding the flour, salt, and sugars and blending well. Work in the butter. Mixture should look like coarse meal.
Sprinkle over the apples and bake for 30–35 minutes.
