Cracker Barrel Fried Apples
8 red apples
¼ pound butter
½ cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Dash of nutmeg
Do not peel the apples. Slice the apples into slices about ½″ thick.
Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Add the apples and sugar to the skillet.
Place a lid on the skillet and cook for 20 minutes, or until the apples are tender and juicy.
Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg before serving.
