How to make pisco sour cocktail recipe
makes 2
Ingredients:
glasses 2 old-fashioned glasses
equipment cocktail shaker, strainer
ice cubes
4 measures Pisco
2 measures lemon juice
4 teaspoons caster sugar
2 egg whites
2 dashes Angostura bitters
lemon wedges, to decorate
Method:
Half-fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes and fill 2 old-fashioned glasses with ice cubes.
Add the Pisco, lemon juice, sugar and egg whites to the shaker and shake until a frost forms on the outside of the shaker.
Strain over the ice in the glasses, add the bitters to the frothy head and serve with lemon wedges.
For the Atacama Pisco Sour, the Chilean version of the Pisco Sour, omit the egg whites and Angostura bitters, use a little less Pisco and add 1?2 measure of Scotch whisky to each glass.
