How to make rum old-fashioned cocktail recipe
makes 2
Ingredients:
glasses 2 old-fashioned glasses
6 ice cubes
2 dashes Angostura bitters
2 dashes lime bitters
2 teaspoons caster sugar
1 measure water
4 measures white rum
1 measure dark rum
lime rind twists, to decorate
Method:
Stir 1 ice cube with a dash of both bitters, 1 teaspoon sugar and half the water in each old-fashioned glass until the sugar has dissolved.
Add the white rum, stir and add the remaining ice cubes. Add the dark rum and stir again. Decorate each glass with a lime rind twist and serve.
For a Rum Refashioned, put a brown sugar cube in each old-fashioned glass, splash it with some Angostura bitters, then add 2 ice cubes and 2 measures of aged rum to each glass, stir well then add sugar syrup to taste.
