Method:
1 In a saucepan over medium heat, bring 16fl oz (500ml) water, 2 cinnamon sticks, and 1 3⁄4oz (50g) piloncillo or dark brown sugar to a boil and simmer, stirring constantly until the sugar is dissolved.
