How to make champagne julep cocktail recipe
makes 2
Ingredients:
glasses 2 highball glasses
equipment muddling stick
4 mint sprigs, plus extra to decorate
2 tablespoons sugar syrup
crushed ice
2 measures brandy
chilled Champagne, to top up
Method:
Put 2 mint sprigs and 1 tablespoon sugar syrup into each glass and muddle together.
Fill the glasses with crushed ice, then add the brandy. Top up with chilled Champagne and stir gently.
Decorate with mint sprigs and serve.
For a Champagne Cooler, which couldn’t be simpler, replace the sugar syrup with 1 measure of Cointreau.
