How to make Ground beef with noodles recipe - Boeuf haché avec des nouilles recette
Serves 4
In a large frying pan over medium heat, cook 1lb 2oz (500g) ground beef in a little olive oil, stirring, until no longer pink.
Add 2/3 cup tomato juice or passata, and simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in a handful of fresh thyme leaves, and season.
Meanwhile, melt 1 tablespoon butter in another frying pan over medium heat, and sauté 7oz (200g) white button mushrooms (larger ones halved and small ones kept whole) for 5–10 minutes, until golden.
Stir the mushrooms into the ground beef mixture and serve with cooked wide egg noodles tossed in a little butter, and a grating of Cheddar or Gruyère cheese.
