PREPARATION: 5 MINUTES, COOKING: NONE
1 cup (225 g) frozen berries
2/3 cup (150 g) frozen yogurt
2 teaspoons (10 ml) confectioners’ sugar
1 Place the frozen berries, yogurt and confectioners’ sugar in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
2 Serve immediately in two tall glasses or glass dishes.
+ Top the berry whip with low-fat Greek-style yogurt or fromage frais.
+ Serve the berry whip with crushed ready-made meringues lightly folded into the whip or sprinkled on top.
+ Here’s another no-cook dessert idea that serves 2: Pour 1 cup (250 ml) ready-made
low-fat custard into a bowl. In a blender, purée 1 cup (250 g) drained, canned fruit—try cherries, apricots, peaches, plums, mango or even fruit salad mixes. Stir the puréed fruit into the custard. Divide the fruit mixture between two small glasses and chill in the freezer for 5–15 minutes. Serve sprinkled with toasted slivered almonds.
