1 cup Cornmeal
1/4cup Granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
1 teaspoon Cream of tartar
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1 cup Buttermilk
1 Egg, beaten
1 tablespoon Molasses
1 tablespoon Butter, melted
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Butter a 9-inch (22.5 cm) pie pan.
Sift together the dry ingredients into a mixing bowl.
Add the buttermilk, beaten egg, molasses, and melted butter and mix until smooth.
Pour the mixture into the pie pan and bake for 30 minutes or until cooked.
Slightly cool, unmold, and cut into wedges.
